Hidden are the Silver threads in the bullwhip, the silver 3 foot chain The silver rod, and silver knife. There's a mongoose that Is either on his shoulder, or in his satchel.

Clichés: Hermetic Magician [4], Pulp Archaeologist (3).

Fordar Mahtar (Matty): Indian Fakir (1), Mentalist [2].

Languages: English, Greek, Latin, Arabic, Hebrew, Ancient Egyptian, Swahili, German, Ute, and other Occult Dialects (use Hermetic Magician).

Hook: Hounded by paparazzi. Also requires a significant amount of silver on his person to perform magic (or else at half-dice).

Equipment: Silver Dagger, Silver Rod, 3' Medium Weight Silver Chain (can be used as a weapon, or spun in circle to create magic shield); Colt 45, bullwhip, carry satchel, books, portable occult lab.

Lore: A variety of Egyptian and transmutation spells.

Tale: Several years ago, while working as an assistant professor of archeology at Harvard, a set of storage shelves collapsed on him in one of the older storage rooms. When he was found several hours later, buried in ancient Egyptian antiquities with a small silver Ankh on the back of his neck. When removed the Ankh had strangely left a burn mark where it fell. Jack recovered and the University (to avoid a scandal) gave him a small fortune. Jack, meanwhile, had discovered that his mind was full of occult knowledge, that he could speak several new languages, and had a compulsion to seek out Occult items, places, and people. He also discovered that he had an affinity with Silver, and could work magic extremely well with it (so-so without). Over the next couple of years Jack traveled the world, getting on multiple expeditions our just going out on his own. Several Newspapers noticed that he was always appearing at major discoveries, and was given credit for over half of those. They then started to call him "Wild Jack", and the name stuck. Just as a side note, Jack did turn over most of what he found on these trips, but some of the stronger occult items never made it into the inventory. While in India, Jack saved the life of a mongoose, and discovered that his Occult direction sense had been leading him to it. The Mongoose in reality was Fordar Mahtar, an Indian Fakir, that had tried to steal a figurine sacred to an Indian Goddess. Thus he was cursed to be in the shape of a mongoose for the rest of his life, except during the full moon, where he regained his original form. Fordar over the years, and using the concentration of the Fakir was able to regain human shape once a day for 15 to 30 minutes. Jack and Fordar, teamed up, with Jack's promise to try and break the curse, but Fordar has found he likes being a mongoose.

The Occult nature surrounding Silverload, and it's name were a great draw on Jack, but can the paparazzi be far behind? Jack's cover story when they show up will be the Anasazi ruins, but is sure they'll start thinking El Dorado.

Fordar Mahtar (Matty)

Fordar Mahtar (Matty) Description: 11" tall mongoose (who's actually an Indian Fakir).

Matty Hook: Curiosity that gets him into trouble.

Matty Tale: Fordar Mahtar, an Indian Fakir, was on hard times during a drought, and heard some wealthy Englishmen were looking for artifacts. He new a cave sacred to an ancient Hindu goddess that his family maintained, and decided to steal one of the statues to sell to the English. The Goddess unfortunately took this as an insult (horrors) and cursed to be in the shape of a mongoose for the rest of his life, except during the full moon, where he regained his original form.

Fordar over the years, and using the concentration of the Fakir was able to regain human shape once a day for 15 to 30 minutes.

He had used up his shot for one day, and was sunning himself in mongoose form when a hawk swooped down to make a meal of him. Jack just happened to be going by (that darn Occult pull) and scared the hawk away. Jack and Fordar, teamed up, with Jack's promise to try and break the curse, but Fordar has found he likes being a mongoose, and now likes snake meat. He also loves being the first into the sites.

Indian Fakir: Adept at Yoga, Concentration, and misdirection.

Mentalist: Uses telepathy to communicate, and telekinesis as self-defense.
