Amalan

D&D Monk

Description: An athletic woman with bronze skin and dark hair worn in the fashion of her home Varenspire. She wears loose-fitting trousers, sandals, and relies and very little else to protect her modesty (what there is of it). She is rarely without a longsword, staff and her backward pointing forearm knives. While she is usually disciplined in the manner of the warrior-judges of Iconic Mars, she always enters combat with some rather undignified and high-pitched vocalizations.

Clichés: Warrior-Judge of Iconic Mars (3d8), Martian Survivalist (3), Telekineticist [2].

Lucky Shots: [ ] [ ] [ ].

Hook: Amalan has absolutely no grasp of humor, irony, or even subtlety for that matter. She operates at half dice whenever this is important. This occasionally renders her a less than effective judge.

Languages: The Common Tongue of Varenspire and most languages of Iconic Mars (roll vs. her Warrior-Judge cliche if there is some question).

Equipment: Long sword, staff, arm-knives, sandals, immodest clothing.

Tale: Amalan was born in the remote megalopolis of Varenspire. After receiving a vision, she bravely (foolishly) journeyed through the caverns under the city to cross over into Iconic Mars. Instead of returning to her homeland, she opted to train as a Warrior Judge and now wanders the deserts of Iconic Mars in service to the Council of Elders. She has been forbidden from returning to Varenspire (punishment for the city, not for her) and takes a special interest in keeping the city isolated.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Warrior-Judge of Iconic Mars: This cliché covers all manner of hand-to-hand combat, uncanny (precognitive) reflexes, and most feats of physical dexterity and endurance. It also covers her legal duties as a Warrior-Judge.

Martial Survivalist: Finding water, finding shelter from sand storms, knowing barbarian customs, hunting & handling local fauna.

Telekineticist: Moving things with her mind.
